An MOU signed between IUST- Kabul Polytechnic University during the session held in the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology on the development of the academic scientific cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan.

The chancellor of Kabul Polytechnic University visited IUST on April 25, 2018. Professor Kakar, visited the School of Railway Engineering and its laboratories and had a session with the IUST vice chancellor for administration and finance.

In the opening ceremony of the Iran- France University Presidents' summit, an MOU was signed between Iran University of Science and Technology and ParisTech.

The International Conference of "Future of Medium Sized Business for Iran and Germany" held in Berlin in August 2017. A number of University representatives from Iran participated in this event to contribute to the related issues in this ground with their German counterparts.

Dr. Ali Maleki, associate professor of the Department of Chemistry wins the 2016 IUPAC- CHMERAWN VII for Green Chemistry in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of green chemistry.

A delegation consist of Prof. Dr. M. A. Yekta SARAC, President of Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YÖK), two members of Council of Higher Education of Turkey, Rectors of  Istanbul University, Karadeniz Technical University, Gebze Technical University, Istanbul Technical University, Ataturk University, Abdullah Gul University, Erzurum Technical University, and Turkish – German University visited IUST on Dec. 22 2015.

A high ranking Iraqi delegation consisting of  Deputy for Director of Research and Development Department at Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, President of Al-Nahrain University, President of University of Technology, President of University of Technology, President of University of Karbala, President of Sulaimani University visited Iran University of Science and Technology on Dec. 15, 2016.

A delegation from Paris Polytechnic University visited Iran University of Science and Technology on Dec. 8, 2015.

On Saturday and Sunday, October 18-19, 2014 2nd International Conference on "Urbanism &Spatial Mobility" was held in IUST.

On Monday, September 15, 2014 a high ranked delegation from Germany visited Iran University of Science and Technology.

The Forth National Conference on Preparation for WSIS+10 held in the Shahid Ghandi Hall, ICT Ministry, Iran on May 26, 2014, organized by ICT Ministry and Iran University of Science and Technology.  

With the coordination made by the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation a delegation from University of Malaya, Malaysia, including Prof. Dr. Saad Mekhilef, acting deputy dean (higher degree) of faculty of engineering, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Moghavvemi, professor of department of electrical engineering, and Mrs. Shahzatul Ermiza Johol, assistant registrar of University of Malaya visited Iran University of Science and Technology on Aug. 26, 2013 to discuss mutual interests.

In order to establish grounds for cooperation between Iran University of Science and Technology and D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, Dr. Seyed Ali-Mohammad Mousavi secretary general of D-8 Organization and Dr. Esmaeel Afshari, Director of Multi-lateral Economical Cooperation at Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented in IUST and visited and had a session with the university authorities on July 7, 2013.

With the coordination of the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation and following an invitation made by the School of Computer Engineering, a delegation from National University of Singapore attended the university on Monday, February 25, 2013.

A letter of cooperation in three languages of French, Farsi, and English was signed between Iran University of Science and Technology and University of François Rabelais, France in November 2012.

On Oct. 3, 2012 a delegation from Ajou University, South Korea, headed by Professor Hanjo Lim Vice- President of the Ajou University and Dean of the graduate study, visited Iran University of Science and Technology to discuss on mutual interests.

On sunday afternoon, 23 September 2012, a delegation from University of Baghdad  consisting of President of the University of Baghdad, Dean of College of Sciences, Dean of College of Veterinary and Director of Scientific Affairs had a meeting with Dr. Jabalameli the  Chancellor of Iran University of Science and Technology.

A delegation consisting of Prof. Li Nam and Prof. Yawu Wei from Wuhan University of Science and Technology, China, accompanied by Professor Golestanifard from the School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, attended at the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation on Sunday 29 April 2012.

On January 7, 2012 Mr. Alexander Haridi, Head of Section of Iraq, Iran of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) visited IUST.

On December 10, 2011, Dr. Ruth McKay, Director of International Programs of Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, visited IUST. She was accompanied by Dr. Moharrami, the scientific representative of I.R. Iran in Canada.

  On Sunday afternoon, 19 June 2011, a delegation from APSCO (Asia- Pacific Space Cooperation Organization) accompanied by the Iranian Space Organization representatives paid a visit to IUST.

A delegation consisting of Dr. Mohd Hamid Bin Abd Shukor, Head of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Harith Bin Ahmad, Professor of Physics, and Dr. Sharifuddin bin Md Zain, Professor of Chemistry from University of Malaya, Malaysia, and Mr. Seyed Amin Mirhashemi from the Offshore Office of the University of Malaya at Tehran, attended at the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation on Monday 18 April 2011.

According to the world report of Simago in 2010, indicating the research operation of 2833 governmental and non-governmental universities and research institutes according to the quantity and quality of research papers registered in SCOPUS throughout 2004-2008, Iran University of Science and Technology with 2634 research papers in reputable world journals has achieved 5th rank among 37 superior universities nationwide.
