For developing academic international cooperation with India a session with top 5 technological universities of the country UT5 was held in KN Toosi University on Dec. 21, 2022.  

Presenting theories and interpretations in line with reality in order to advance scientific research and expand technology in the field of composites, characterization of these materials, their construction, and application, has special importance and place among researchers all over the world.  

An Online session held with the presence of the Cultural Counselor of Iran in Italy at IUST on July 19, 2022. In this session, with the presence of IUST vice chancellor for international affairs as well as IUST director for international education affairs, Mr. Amini, the Cultural Counselor of Iran in Italy delivered speeches on the cultural relations between the two countries.  

UST students team IUST_NLPLAB supervised by Dr. Etemadi, won the first rank in the competition of ImageCLEF medical, Medical Image Caption Prediction gaining point 48, and by 16 points difference from the second group.

Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the German company of inveni portum solutions (IPS) on September 8th, 2021. Utilizing the capacities of Silk Road Logistics Research Center (SLRC) in Chabahar will be amongst the top agreed agendas of the MoU.

Times Higher Education ranking for Asian universities released on June 2, 2021 and IUST’s position improved 11 grade and stayed at 76 rank in Asia. THE Asian University Ranking ranks the universities according to 5 indexes of teaching, research, citation, international outlook, and industry income.

According to the result of Times Higher Education Ranking 2021, announced in Sept. 2, 2020, Iran University of Science and Technology ranked 501-600 among world universities and ranked 4th among Iranian universities. IUST was 646 in the past year ranking.

The 5th Rectors’ Forum for Top Iranian and Russian Universities held virtually on July 7, 2020.

According to the Times Higher Education Ranking System for top Asian universities in 2020, Iran University of Science and Technology ranked among five top Iranian universities in Asia. With a 20- step upgrade, IUST reached rank 87 in 2020 from 107 in 2019.

The 5th Biennial International Conference on Experimental Solid Mechanics held at Iran University of Science and Technology on Feb. 18-19, 2020. The Conference was organized by the Center of Excellence in Experimental Solid Mechanics and Dynamics affiliated to the School of Mechanical Engineering of IUST.

A joint research project between Iran University of Science and Technology and Monash University started since 2016 for development of international scientific cooperation between the two universities and with the support and coordination of vice chancellery for international affairs at IUST.
