Turkey High Ranked Academic Delegation visited IUST

A delegation consist of Prof. Dr. M. A. Yekta SARAC, President of Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YÖK), two members of Council of Higher Education of Turkey, Rectors of  Istanbul University, Karadeniz Technical University, Gebze Technical University, Istanbul Technical University, Ataturk University, Abdullah Gul University, Erzurum Technical University, and Turkish – German University visited IUST on Dec. 22 2015. This visit was hosted by IUST Chancellor, vice chancellors, and a number of authorities and faculty members as well as Director of Office of Industry Cooperation of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, and senior officers from Iran Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

At the beginning of the session Prof. Barkhordari, Chancellor of IUST said welcome to the delegation and then Dr. Shahhoseini, Director of the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation of IUST introduced IUST’s achievements and potentials. In the following Dr. Bolandi, head of IUST Satellite Research Center and Prof. Shokrieh head of IUST Iran Composite Institute introduced these centers. The Turkey Delegation introduced also their universities briefly and expressed their willingness for establishment of cooperation with IUST.

Afterwards Prof. Golestanifard, a faculty member of IUST School of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering and Director of Office of Industry Cooperation of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology emphasized on coordination between the two parties for establishment of cooperation.

Prof. SARAC, President of Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YÖK) also emphasized on establishment of cooperation among universities of the two countries.

The delegation visited Track Engineering workshop and Train Brakes laboratory in the School of Railway Engineering.

The delegation left IUST after lunch ceremony.
